Development and Simulation of a Hybrid Microgrid Incorporating Droop Control and Maximum Power Point Tracker

A. A. Aminu*, Ismaila Mahmud

This paper presents the development and simulation of a Hybrid Microgrid using Droop Control and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) in Matlab/Simulink. The study models two synchronous generators and a solar PV effectively, managing both active and reactive loads. The implementation of Droop Control ensured proportional power sharing among generat...

A Discrete Bat Algorithm Based Optimal Location and Sizing of Power Distribution Substation

Distribution substation planning is considered one of the most important steps in the power system planning process. A planning model seeks to determine a strategy that will minimize losses and total costs associated with configuring and operating an electric power distribution system over a given planning horizon. Metaheuristic methods are usually...

REVIEW ON METAHEURISTIC-BASED DECISION TREE INDUCTION

Decision tree is one of the well-known machine learning algorithms which remain popular due its simple implementation and ease of understanding. Existing techniques used in inducing decision tree have shown that they suffer data overfitting which leads to producing small size of decision tree model. To address the drawback and improve the performan...
